Natural language
Natural language is everyday human language, spoken or written, as people normally use it. AI that understands natural language lets customers interact in their own words instead of navigating menus or forms, making conversations with an AI receptionist or chatbot feel easy and human.
Natural language is simply how people actually talk and write, full of everyday phrasing rather than rigid commands. When software understands natural language, customers can just say or type what they want, and the system figures it out.
This is a big leap from old phone menus and keyword forms. With natural language understanding, an AI receptionist or chatbot can handle a caller who says my sink is leaking and I need someone today, responding helpfully without forcing the person into buttons or scripts.
