Lead
A lead is a person or business that has shown interest in what you offer but has not yet become a paying customer. Leads come from calls, web forms, referrals, and ads, and the goal is to follow up quickly and turn interest into a booked job or sale.
A lead is the raw material of sales. Someone fills out a form, calls about a quote, or replies to an ad, and now you have a chance to earn their business. What separates a lead from a lost opportunity is usually how fast and how consistently you follow up.
Not every lead is ready to buy today. Some need nurturing over days or weeks. A good system captures every lead the moment it arrives, responds fast, and keeps following up until the person either buys or clearly says no.
