Sales funnel
A sales funnel is the journey a person takes from first learning about a business to becoming a customer. It is called a funnel because many people enter at the top as leads and fewer come out the bottom as buyers, narrowing at each stage along the way.
The funnel is a way to picture how interest turns into sales. At the top, lots of people become aware of you. In the middle, some show interest and ask for a quote. At the bottom, a portion actually buy. Each step loses some people, which is normal.
Understanding your funnel helps you find weak spots. If lots of people ask for quotes but few book, the problem is in your closing step, not your marketing. Fixing the right stage is what grows revenue efficiently.
